At Codentricks, we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the File Pilot WiFi Transfer application (the “App”). Our philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you, and we have no interest in collecting it.

File Pilot WiFi Transfer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal identification information.
The App is designed as a local utility to facilitate file transfers between devices on the same network. Because all operations are handled locally:

We do not require you to create an account.

We do not track your location history.

We do not have access to the files you transfer.

2. Permissions and Their Purpose
To function correctly, the App requires certain system permissions. We use these strictly for the following purposes:

Storage (Photos, Videos, Music, and Files): Required to browse and select files on your device for sending, and to save incoming files to your device’s memory.

Camera: Used exclusively to scan QR codes for quick device pairing and connection establishment.

Location / Nearby WiFi Devices: Required by the Android operating system to discover other devices on your local network. We do not use this to track your physical location.

Notifications: Used to show the progress of active file transfers and alert you when a transfer is complete.

3. Data Security and Transmission
Local Network Only
All file transfers occur directly between your devices over your local WiFi network (Peer-to-Peer). No file data is ever uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud services.

Security Recommendation
Since the App operates on your local network, the security of your data depends on the security of your WiFi connection. We strongly recommend using the App only on secure, password-protected networks.

4. Third-Party Services
The App may use minimal third-party libraries to enhance functionality (such as QR scanning or network discovery). These libraries do not collect personal data from you. We do not include third-party advertising or data-mining SDKs.

5. Children’s Privacy
Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since we do not collect any data at all, this App is safe for users of all ages.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date” at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
